Intermediate Quality Engineers

🔍 We’re Hiring: Intermediate Quality Engineers Location: Gauteng (Remote/Hybrid) Experience Level: 5+ Years Contract Type: [Contract]

QoT Solutions is seeking experienced Intermediate Quality Engineers to join a dynamic team supporting one of our leading clients. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong foundation in quality engineering, mathematics, and technical testing — especially those who thrive in real-time, data-driven, and operational technology environments.

🔧 Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in structured environments.

• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or quantitative sciences.

• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals. (manual and automated)

• Proven experience with technical testing: API testing, database validation, system-level testing.

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps – including pipelines, boards, test plans, and releases

• Ability to design, document, and execute test plans and test cases across complex systems.

• Experience working with infrastructure platforms, monitoring systems or metering solutions.

• Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with developers, product owners and stakeholders.
  

💡 Bonus Experience:

• Test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)

• API tools such as Postman or REST Assured

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles

• Exposure to telemetry, real-time data streams, or grid-level operational systems

• Experience with IoT devices, smart sensors, or field service platforms is advantageous.
  

🎯 Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and uphold quality standards

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across key business and technical scenarios

• Build and maintain test assets and related documentation

• Log, track, and report on defects and quality metrics

• Actively participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, reviews and retrospectives.
