Agile Tester

Want to learn about the fundamentals of testing in Agile projects?

In this extension to the ISTQB Foundation course, testers will gain an understanding of how Agile projects are organised. You’ll also learn commonly applied development practices, differences between Agile and traditional approaches,

and commonly used testing tools.

 

By the end of the ISTQB Agile Tester course, you will understand how testers are positioned in Agile organisations.

You will be able to effectively estimate and organise testing, as well as apply risk-based testing in Agile projects.

Business Outcome

By the end of this course, the Agile Tester will be able to:

  • Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile team being familiar with principles and basic practices of Agile software development.

  • Adapt existing testing experience and knowledge to Agile values and principles.

  • Support the Agile team in planning test-related activities.

  • Apply relevant methods and techniques for testing in an Agile project.

  • Assist the Agile team in test automation activities.

  • Assist business stakeholders in defining understandable and testable user stories, scenarios,
    requirements and acceptance criteria as appropriate.

  • Testers who want to improve their knowledge in working in an Agile Environment.

  • QAs Seeking to accredit their skills for recognition among Employers, clients and peers.

Prerequisites

 

  • ISTQB Foundation is a pre-requisite.

  • Some practical experience in a QA role would be a plus.

Duration: 2 Days

Note: The Exam is a 1-hour closed book with 40-question multiple choice exam.

Candidates are required to achieve a minimum pass mark of 65%.

It is recommended that Learners attempt the Exam in the next 4 weeks following the training.
