About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer (QE) specializing in API automation to join our team. As a Senior QE, you will play a crucial role in building and developing an automation framework for our new client. We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual who can confidently handle the challenges of API automation using tools like Postman and Karate.
Requirements
Design, develop, and maintain an automation framework for API testing using Postman and Karate.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop test cases and test plans.
Perform API testing, including functional testing and integration testing.
Identify and report bugs, issues, and improvements in a timely manner.
Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in API automation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, with a focus on API automation.
Strong proficiency in API testing and automation using tools like Postman and Karate.
Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Prior experience working with new clients or in a consulting environment is a plus.
Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB or API testing certifications, are a plus.
